Welcome to New Cross British Sub Aqua Club

New Cross BSAC 102 was formed in 1960 by current honorary member and president George Brookes.

We are an active club, dive wise and socially, of 35+ members.  We meet every Wednesday at Dulwich College Sports Club (see ‘how to find us’ for more information) and afterwards at the local pub. We hope this website provides you with an insight into what we hope will soon become your local diving club too.

It was a busy 2011 for New Cross BSAC 102…

Despite being blown-out a few times in the UK, 2011 was a great diving year. Club dives have included 2 weeks in the Philippines, weekends in Bracklesham, Swanage and Brighton (plus a boozy BBQ afterwards!) and much more. Many members have also whizzed off to Egypt, Sipadan Malaysia, Greece and Lanzarote.

One of the most exciting advances has been the refurbishment of our boats. The ‘Brookes’ & ‘Brookes Too’ now boast brand new Evinrude engines; incredibly reliable and now a dream to cox. Thanks to all those involved with the task to hand. Special thanks must go out to Joe Budd, our equipment officer!

The diving calendar for 2012

Our calendar for 2012 is looking healthy with plenty of UK dives planned. We also have a club trip to Egypt’s deep south to look forward to, in pursuit of magnificent Oceanic White Tips and Hammerhead sharks.

Thinking about becoming a member?

Well you’ve come as far as discovering our website, so why not go a little further and arrange a Try-Dive? Held at our training pool in Dulwich, you can meet our club members and try out scuba diving for yourself – and hopefully decide to join up. And it’s only £15! For more information call John on 0750 3261445 or email newcrossbsac@yahoo.co.uk
